National Write Your Congressman Presents 2020 David N. Adamson Founders Award Winner
Dallas – August 20, 2020 – National Write Your Congressman (NWYC), an organization that gives small businesses a voice in American government, awarded Gary Blum from Dubuque, Iowa with the 2020 David N. Adamson Founders Award. The award is given annually to the NWYC sales representative who symbolizes an “All-American” spirit and furthers the mission of the organization.
“Gary is an excellent mentor and leader for his region and the entire organization,” said Randy Ford, president of NWYC. “We are honored to present him with the most prestigious awards we give our sales representatives.”
Blum has been with National Write Your Congressman since 2004 and works in the Midwest Region. Blum is a former member of the United States Marine Corps and a Vietnam War veteran. Blum spent 17 years working for the National Chamber of Commerce and was in furniture manufacturing before joining NWYC.
“In our work we say champions control what they can control, which is your attitude and your effort. Nobody does this better than Gary Blum. As an ex-Marine, he will never tell you how it’s not going to be done but will always tell you how it’s going to be done. Anybody that is around Gary knows that he is one of the hardest working people in this organization. He has a wonderful family and we are so blessed to have them as part of our family. Congratulations Gary,” said Chris Adamson, CEO of NWYC.
“I am very humbled to receive this award! David Adamson knew that when people know the truth, they will do the right thing. He stood for God, family and country. David Adamson believed that our mission is to encourage responsible Americans to use their influence in government to preserve the freedoms set forth by our founding fathers,” said Blum.
“Gary is an asset to NWYC and has built a successful territory with NWYC over the last 17 years, worked hard every day, and covered a lot of territory for us. Gary is always willing and happy to help the team at a drop of a hat. He does not hide his love for this Nation, family and teammates. Thanks for your service and thanks for all your help,” said Sid Mignery, NWYC Midwest Region Manager.
Blum lives in Iowa with his wife Jamie. He has four children and six grandchildren. His NWYC Region Manager is Sid Mignery.
